Terms of Service
Last updated: April 10, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SOCAwake Detection Training Platform ("Platform", "Service") operated by ProPoint LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
SOCAwake is a cybersecurity training platform that generates realistic, synthetic security logs and delivers them to SIEM systems. The platform enables SOC analysts to practice threat detection and incident investigation in a controlled environment.
Important: All logs, alerts, IP addresses, hostnames, user accounts, and attack scenarios generated by SOCAwake are entirely fictional and synthetic. They do not represent real attacks, real people, or real infrastructure.
2. Account Types
- Organization Accounts — created through a service agreement between SOCAwake and your organization. An organization administrator manages user accounts within the organization.
- Individual Accounts — self-registered accounts for individual learners. Subject to plan limitations.
3. Account Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Not share your account with others
Organization administrators are responsible for managing their users' access and ensuring their users comply with these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use the Platform only for its intended purpose: cybersecurity training and education. You agree not to:
- Use the Platform to attack, scan, or probe real systems or networks
- Attempt to access other organizations' data or accounts
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Platform
- Use generated logs to deceive, defraud, or mislead any person or system
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Platform without written consent
- Overload the Platform with excessive automated requests beyond your plan limits
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
5. Synthetic Data Disclaimer
All data generated by SOCAwake — including but not limited to log entries, IP addresses, domain names, user names, file paths, and attack indicators — is entirely synthetic and fictional. Any resemblance to real entities is coincidental.
You acknowledge that:
- Generated logs should not be used as evidence of real security incidents
- Generated IP addresses and domains may coincidentally match real-world entities
- Attack scenarios are educational simulations, not instructions for malicious activity
6. Data and Privacy
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using the Platform, you acknowledge that:
- Your account data (name, email, username) is stored on our servers in Germany
- Your training performance data (scores, response times) is visible to your organization administrator
- Session data is stored in your browser's local storage
7. Organization Data Processing
When an organization subscribes to SOCAwake, we act as a data processor on behalf of the organization (data controller) for the personal data of that organization's users. The organization is responsible for:
- Having a lawful basis to provide user data to SOCAwake (e.g., employment contract, consent)
- Informing their users about the use of SOCAwake and the data processed
- Ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws
A separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available upon request for organizations that require one.
8. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, code, attack scenarios, log templates, and scoring algorithms, is the intellectual property of SOCAwake. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose during the term of your subscription.
9. Service Availability
We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect access. We will provide reasonable notice for planned downtime when possible.
10. Plan Limits
The Platform offers different plans with varying limits on features, scenarios, and events per second. Exceeding your plan limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension until you upgrade or the next billing period begins.
11. Termination
- By you: You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where possible.
- Organizations: Upon contract termination, we will delete all organization data within 30 days unless a longer retention is required by law.

- The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim
This does not affect your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law, where applicable.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. For users located in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence shall apply where required by law.
